The Timbercraft Journey

Let’s Get Started with Timbercraft

Proposal Example

Building a timber frame home or structure is an exciting journey, and at Timbercraft, we make sure the process is clear, simple, and tailored to your vision. From the very first conversation, our goal is to understand your wants, needs, and ideas—and then turn them into a tangible plan.

Step 1: Free Proposal

We begin by gathering your ideas and goals, then creating a quick estimate to see how your vision aligns with your budget. This proposal includes a price breakdown and a general model of your project so you can clearly see what’s possible before moving forward.

Step 2: Design Service Agreement (DSA)

If the numbers and the model check out, the next step is a Design Service Agreement. The DSA takes your concept to the next level, providing a more in-depth preliminary design of your home or project that is reviewed and discussed until approved. This ensures every detail is carefully considered before any timbers are cut.

Step 3: Material Fabrication Agreement (MFA)

Once the DSA is complete and you’re ready to build, we move into the Material Fabrication Agreement. At this stage, we produce full timber frame plans and begin programming your design for our CNC machines. This ensures every timber is cut with precision, setting the stage for a flawless fit during construction.

At Timbercraft, we’re committed to making the process as smooth as possible—from your first idea to the final crafted frame. Whether you’re dreaming of a cozy home, a rustic barn, or a commercial timber project, we’re ready to help you get started.
